A building envelope in this country takes more punishment than most. Surface temperatures past 60°C through summer, sandstorms scouring the finish off anything exposed, salt air near the coast working on the steel, then a few weeks of hard rain finding whatever gaps the heat opened up. Roof cladding and wall cladding are what sit between all of that and everything inside.
White Metal supplies and installs both across Dubai and the wider UAE. Warehouses, factories, workshops, commercial buildings. Most of our projects cover the roof and the walls together, since they’re usually going up at the same time and the detailing where they meet is where leaks start if two different contractors handled them separately.
Two jobs, really. Keep weather out, keep heat out. The second matters more here than almost anywhere, an uninsulated metal roof turns a Dubai warehouse into an oven and pushes cooling costs through the floor.
Material choice comes down to location as much as budget. Galvanized and pre-coated steel handles most industrial roofs well and spans long distances without much support underneath. Aluminium costs more but resists corrosion naturally, which earns its price near the coast where salt air works through less resistant materials faster than people expect. Not everywhere requires the same mode of installation. After a proper inspection, our executive will helps you to figure which suits you.
Wall cladding pulls in two directions at once. It has to protect the building, and it has to look like something you’d put your company name on. Which material gets both right depends more on the specific building than on any general rule.
ACP core type matters for fire safety, and UAE regulations on this tightened considerably after facade fires elsewhere in the region. For warehouses and factories, insulated sandwich panel usually beats decorative ACP. Same logic as the roof, an insulated wall keeps interior temperature manageable and cuts cooling load, which on a large facility is a real operating cost rather than a rounding error.
Depends on more than square metres, which is why nobody serious quotes this over the phone.
For roofs: single skin profile sheet sits at the low end. Insulated sandwich panel costs more, and within that, core thickness and core type move it again, rockwool for fire rating runs noticeably above standard PUF. Then there’s whether it’s new construction or a re-clad. Stripping an old roof, checking the purlins underneath, and disposing of the old material adds cost a new build doesn’t carry.
For walls: material drives most of it, single skin at the bottom, sandwich panel in the middle, ACP varying widely by finish and core type, solid aluminium at the top. Building height changes it too. Anything needing scaffolding or access equipment costs more to install than a single-storey wall a crew reaches from the ground.
We quote after seeing the building. A re-clad on a structure that turns out to need purlin replacement is a completely different job from one where the frame is sound, and there’s no way to know which you’ve got without looking.
Who are the roof cladding contractors in Dubai for industrial buildings?
Plenty of companies offer it. What separates them is usually whether they manufacture the panels themselves or buy them in, and whether their own crews install or it gets subcontracted. Ask both questions before comparing prices, a single point of accountability is worth more than a small price difference when something needs fixing later.
What’s involved in roof cladding installation?
Measuring and setting out, structural and purlin checks, panel supply, fixing, then flashing and sealing. The flashing is where most of the skill is and where most leaks originate. If the existing structure needs GI purlins or channels first, that gets handled before any panel goes up.
Is metal roof cladding the right choice for a Dubai warehouse?
Usually yes, galvanized or pre-coated steel handles industrial roof loads well and spans long distances. The question is really whether you need it insulated, which depends on whether the space is conditioned.
When is aluminium roof cladding worth the extra cost?
Near the coast, almost always, salt air is hard on steel in a way that shows up within a few years. Further inland it’s often unnecessary unless weight on the structure is a constraint.
What’s different about industrial roof cladding?
Longer spans, heavier loading, and sometimes fire-rated cores where stored materials or regulations require it, rockwool instead of PUF. Skylights and ventilation openings also need planning into the layout rather than cutting in afterwards, which is a common leak source on jobs where that wasn’t thought through early.
How do I choose wall cladding contractors in Dubai?
Ask which ACP core they’re quoting, standard or fire-rated. Ask whether they’re doing the sub-framing or only the panels. And ask to see a completed facade in person rather than in photos, since alignment and joint consistency are hard to judge from a picture.
What does wall cladding installation involve?
Setting out, sub-framing, panel fixing, sealing, and edge detailing at corners and openings. The sub-framing is the part that determines whether the finished surface looks flat or wavy, and it’s entirely hidden once panels go on.
What’s the best exterior wall cladding for Dubai’s climate?
Aluminium and ACP both handle heat and UV well. Coastal sites lean aluminium for corrosion resistance. Industrial buildings where insulation matters more than appearance usually do better with sandwich panel.
Is aluminium wall cladding better than ACP?
Solid aluminium is more durable and costs more. ACP gives far more finish options at lower cost and is the commercial standard here. Neither is simply better, it depends on budget, building type, and how much the appearance matters.
Is ACP wall cladding safe?
Fire-rated core ACP is, and that’s what regulations require on most commercial buildings here. Standard core is a different product with different fire performance. Confirm specifically which one any quote covers, the price gap is real and so is the difference.
Can you clad an existing building, or only new construction?
Both. Retrofit is a good portion of what we do. It needs a survey first to check the existing structure and work out sub-framing, which new construction doesn’t require.
Do you supply only, or install as well?
Both. We manufacture the panels and supporting structure and install with our own teams.
